Akaihono's Power part 1! The Return of Skyrina!



Akaihono was in his room, the door to his room was locked. The red sunset entering his room from the window. His eyes looking at his deck. "Ice...I'm coming for you...hehehe..." His eyes glow more.

There was a soft knock at the door of Akaihono's room. "Bro? You ok in there?" Asked Hito's soft voice but Akaihono didn't answer Hito, but remained silent and looks at his deck.

Hito sighed on the other side of the door and padded off. 'Why won't he answer...' He thought sadly.

Just then, Akaihono's phone went off, buzzing, singling a message had arrived. Akaihono looks over at his cell phone.

The message glowed on the screen. The message came from an unidentified number "If you want to become stronger...come to this location" The text also showed a map on the screen.

Akaihono's glows as she grabs his cell phone and heads to the door. He unlocked it and pulled the door open and walks out of his room.

Hito who had just been walking back from the bathroom stopped as he saw him. "Akaihono wait up!" He called out, grabbing his bag and following him. "Where you going!?"

Akaihono pushes Hito away. "Stay away from me..." He says looking at Hito, the flaming glow fully taken over his eyes. The boy turns and heads down the stairs.

Hito growled. "Not this time Bro." He said and followed him discreetly.

Akaihono was walking through the town, the setting sun still in the sky but is slowly vanishing.

As Hito secretly followed the red hair boy, he heard someone running behind him. As he turns his head, he saw that it was Luna.

"Luna?" He asked in surprise, staring as the girl ran up to him. "What are you doing here?"

"I um, hm? Hey what's up with Akaihono?" Luna asks, looking past the boy, seeing Akaihono walking around still.

"Duno." Hito said sadly looking over at his friend. "One minute he was locked up in his room, the next he's walkin out."

"I see..." Luna looks at Akaihono walking and she noticed where he was going. "Come on, I know where he's going!" The girl says following the boy.

"Where?" Yelped the other boy, following her mad dash. "Luna wait, where's bro going?"

"Just follow me!" Luna says running to catch up with Akaihono who heads into an ally that leads to an old run area with run down buildings.

Soon, Akaihono was getting close to the building on the map he had been given. "What the heck brought him here?" Demanded Hito as they got closer.

"Savior..." Luna tells Hito, surprising the boy.

"Savior?!" Hito asks in shock and surprise.

"Yeah." Luna says. "You haven't seen him since he transferred to your school right?" She asks, remembering that Hito and Akaihono told her how Savior came to their school as a student and then left the next day.

"Yeah...where's he been?" Hito asked as Akaihono got closer to the old house.

"He was at Nationals Hito, you saw him in front of us." Luna says. "You hit your head?"

"No." Hito said in annoyance. "I meant, where's he been apart from then and school!?"

"I think he's been here...follow me and you'll see." Luna says following Akaihono who was now inside the building. His eyes still glowing as he opens the door and sees Savior standing at the fight table.

Savior stood, eyes closed, and arms crossed. "It's been a long time Akaihono." Said the white haired boy, without opening his eyes. "Welcome to my home."

"Savior?! You texted me?" Akaihono asks in surprise, but it wasn't in anger, but almost happiness. Both Hito and Luna peek their heads around the door.

One of Savior's eyes opened to look at Akaihono. "I was born in this house you know." He said conversationally.

"Really?" Akaihono asks in surprise by this statement.

"Yeah...even when I was baby I had nothing...no home...no money..." He turned to Akaihono. "No parents."

Akaihono frowns sadly. "I know that feeling of not having parents...my father left me and my mother is in a coma." The boy says.

Luna also makes a sad face, but doesn't say anything as she stays hidden.

Saviors face didn't change. "I called you here for a reason." He said calmly. "You're newfound power is becoming...somewhat intolerable."

"My power? What power? I've gotten better by changing decks! Kagero is my real deck! There's no power behind this!" Akaihono says, seeming to not realizing what has taken over him.

Savior grinned. "Oh I'm sure you don't know. Psyqulia can be...seductive. Subtle." He said calmly. "But we'll see won't we?" He said calmly.

"Psyqulia?" Akaihono gives a confused look. "Look, I don't know what your talking about this, anyways, why am I here?"

"Your here for me to save and stop you." A female voice says, drawing the attention of Akaihono, Hito and Luna who saw Skyrina walk out from the shadows.

"Skyrina?!" Akaihono asks, both happy and shocked.

Hito stared at the girl. "What on earth is she doing here?!" He asked almost stepping out from his hiding place by accident.

Savior stepped aside, leaving the deck on the table. "I am not your opponent Akaihono." He said calmly, Moving over to sit on a chair, crossing his legs. "She is."

"Huh?! But why?! I have nothing against you Skyrina!" The boy says, not wanting to fight her as like he said, he had no grudge against her.

"And that's the problem...do you remember when I tried to stop you all those weeks ago? THIS is the reason, your consumed by a power that has a grip on not only you, but someone dear to me..." Skyrina says walking over to the table.

"Huh?! But why?! I have nothing against you Skyrina!" The boy says, not wanting to fight her as like he said, he had no grudge against her.

Savior watched her calmly, his eyes keeping tabs on both of them at once. "Skyrina is here to show you the truth." Savior grinned.

"Grrr...you want to keep me from beating Ice! I won't let you stop me!" Akaihono says pulling out his deck and sets it on the table.

Skyrina puts the glove on and without looking up. "Luna, Hito, you don't need to hide." She says, surprising the two.

Hito looked at Luna, then stepped out from behind the wall, standing near Savior. "S-Sorry.." He mumbled in annoyance at being caught.

Luna walks over to Savior and Hito as well. "We-" She starts.

"It's fine, you two have a right to see this fight, Akaihono is your teammate." Skyrina says drawing her five cards, Akaihono does the same.

Savior sat back, staring at Akaihono, a fire in his eyes now "People don't face either me or Ice on a whim. You EARN that right." He said calmly. "Now let us begin the fight."

"Stand up my Vanguard." Akaihono says, turning over the starter. "Lizard Soilder Conroe!" The armored lizard appears holding an axe.

"Stand up my vanguard!" Skyrina called, turning over her card to. "Wingal Brave!" A blue furred dog, with a helmet and armor on its front legs appeared.

The beaten down old house faded away to reveal a white marble altar, with pillars surrounding them.

"I'll start, I draw and ride Violence Horn Dragon, Conroe moves to the back." Akaihono moves the starter to the lower left circle.

My turn." Skyrina said "I ride little sage marron." A blonde haired woman in a blue cap and skirt and uniform appeared. "I move wingal brave behind her and I call young Pegasus knight to the back left rearguard.

Wingal brave appeared behind the grade one and a man on a golden armored Pegasus appeared next to the grade zero.

"I use solitary knight Gancelot's skill." Skyrina said calmly. She revealed the grade three. "I shuffle it back into my deck and pull Blaster Blade." She held up the grade two, leaving her with four cards in her hand. "Marron attacks with Wingal's boost!" The sage raised her hand after opening her book, sparks of lightning spraying out towards Akaihono's vanguard. The Power meter read 13000.

"I don't guard." Akaihono says as the girl does a drive check.

"Drive check...Margal! Its a draw trigger!" Skyrina said, letting a smile break her concentration for a second. "Power to my vanguard and I draw a card!"

The lightning blast hit the violent horn dragon hard, lighting it up with lightning. It lets out a roar of pain as the damage check reveled a grade 1 card.

"Skyrina...I don't understand, she leaves for weeks on end and now here she is, once again fighting Akaihono..." Hito says.

"She did lose to Akaihono but he was determined to win, he had a reason, but now, he has nothing driving him except for the fact he wants to beat someone...in a grudge way." Luna says watching the fight.

"I draw, then I ride Dragonic Burnout, and call Burning Horn Dragon and Flame of Promise Aerme!" The red hair boy says as a dragon appears in front on Contoe and a red skinned being appears behind Drahonic Burnout.

Skyrina gritted her teeth, watching the units appear, her own units tensing on the stage ready for a fight from the dragons.

"My vanguard will attack Marron!" Akaihono says as the dragon launches a fire ball at the Mage.

"I don't guard." Skyrina said, watching the fire ball hit Marron as Akaihono checks the drive check and reveals a critical trigger.

"Power to Burning Horn and I'll have Dragonic Burnout keep the critical!" The red hair boy says adding the card to his hand.

The fireball struck hard and fast, sending up a plume of smoke. Both of Skyrina's triggers revealed no triggers.

"Burning Horn! Get in there and attack Marron!" Akaihono says as the horned dragon flies at the sage, it's power 19000.

"I don't guard." Skyrina gasped as the dragon shot past her, hitting the sage hard with its body. "Damage check..." Skyrina grumbled, then she smiled at the green light. "Heal trigger. Power to Marron, recovering one point."

"I end my turn." Akaihono says, watching the girl. "Why? Why are you always trying to stop me?" The boy asks in annoyance.

"Because that first time, I was scared for you...you met Kiryu and I couldn't let you meet his teammates...your a good person Akaihono, you don't need to prove anything! Yes, Ice is mean, but going after him isn't you. But now, I'm stopping you and this time I will show you the power of being connected to your deck!"

She says as she stands and draws for her turn and she held up a card. "Avatar of justice, wielding your ppure blade of light! I ride Blaster Blade!" There was an explosion of light and a man appeared, dressed in white armor, carrying a sword. "I use his ability!" Skyrina called. "I counterblast two cards and destroy burning horn!"

Blaster Blade slammed his sword down into the ground, summoning a bolt of blue lightning slashing across the ground and exploding upwards to hit burning horn, sending it to the dropzone.

"Wow, Skyrina is so much better then last time!" Luna says shocked by how well she was playing.

"I'm not done yet!" Skyrina continued. "I call knight of truth Gordon in front of young Pegasus knight and knight of loyalty Bedivere to the right." The two grade two knights appeared in a flash of light.

"Wow, Skyrina means business." Luna says as Akaihono just watched the Knights appear.

Skyrina leaned in. "With a boost from young Pegasus Knight, Gordan swings in at your vanguard!" Gordan danced and twirled then juped into the air, diving at the dragon vanguard his power meter read 14000.

"...I don't guard!" Akaihono says as Gordon jabs the dragon, dealing the second damage, which was a grade 3.

"Next up is Wingal Brave boosting my blaster-blade vanguard!" Skyrina's Blaster Blade jumped, sword held high in an attack pattern (15000).

"I don't guard!" Akaihono says, glaring as Blaster Blade rushes at Dragonic Burnout.

"Drive trigger check..." Skyrina revealed her grade three, jewel knight Ashlei and the blade collided with Akaihono's dragon.

The damage revealed a draw trigger, letting Akaihono draw. "Power to my Vanguard and I draw."

Skyrina grinned. "Because wingal braves supported a successful attack, I place him into the soul to activate his ability." She slid the card into her soul stack. "I search for a card with blaster in its name and add it to my hand." She held up..."I add blaster dark to my hand."

Akaihono, Luna and Hito's widen as they remember Savior used this card in that battle they saw on the tv. Hito and Luna look as Savior, as they were standing next to him, shock on their faces.

Savior sat there, Looking bored as he watched the fight. Across the room, Skyrina looked down at her table with a grimace. "Bedivere doesn't have enough power to beat his vanguard, even with his special power...I end my turn." She said after shuffling her deck.

"I stand and draw, and I ride..." Akaihono says revealing Dragonic Overlord and rides it, as he does, huge flames emerge from the ground and Dragonic Overlord flies out, burning sparks rain from his wings as he growls.

"Then I call Burning Horn Dragon and Violent Horn Dragon!" The boy says as Violent Horn appears above Conroe and burning horn appears on the other side of Overlord.

Skyrina gritted her teeth. She had five cards in her hand. Even though Akaihono was only at three damage, if she let him get there. "Great.." She said through gritted teeth.

"I counter blast one card and retire Conroe and I can search my deck for any grade one." Akaihono adds a prefect guard to his hand after showing it to Skyrina. "Now, Violent Horn, attack Gordon!"

The grade 1 dragon gains 3000 power to its 7000, and attacks Gordon as she rushes like a fast torpedo. Gordon cried out as the dragon hit him head on, disappearing in a flash of light.

"Dragonic Overlord, attack and burn away at Blaster Blade!" Akaihono says, his eyes wide and a smirk on his face as the dragon shots off a stream of hot fire!

"I don't guard!" Skyrina called out as t he stream of flames hits Blaster Blade and floods the field with fire. Akaihono does a twin drive.

"First, draw trigger! Power to Burning Horn! I draw. Second check, hehehe...The End." Akaihono says holding the card up.

Skyrina gritted her teeth as the attack hit and flipped her card too. "Damage check...Margal, a draw trigger. Power to my vanguard and I draw."

"Burning Horn will attack Blaster Blade!" The boy says as the dragon spews fire, it's power at 17000.

"My alabaster owl will guard the attack!" The critical trigger apaeared, shielding Blaster Blade with its feathers.

"I end my turn." Akaihono says as the flames die down for now.

Skyrina drew her card, eyeing it for a little bit, then raised the card. "Pure foundation of strength, I ride pure heart jewel knight Ashlie." Luna's eyes would widen as she saw the break ride unit appear.

"...Akaihono, Hito...." Skyrina suddenly says, getting their attention to look at her.

Hito blinked. "You ok Skyrina?!" He called out in surprise by her sudden talk.

"You both need to know....the real reason I didn't like you playing vanguard, the reason I lied about playing myself...." Skyrina says as Akaihono, who wanted to continue the fight, actually did want to hear what she had to say. "Kiryu....is my brother."

"WHAT?" Hito gasped in surprise, taking a step back. "You're related to that guy?!" Even Akaihono and Luna was shocked by this.

"Yes...he's my younger brother, and just like Akaihono here...he has a power that's taken over his life...it all started a two years before I met you both...." Skyrina says, as she starts to explain her past.

--two years ago--


Skyrina was sitting at a table in a very large house, looking through her deck when suddenly a young boy walks up to the girl.

"Hm? Oh hey Kiryu, what's up?" Skyrina asks her younger brother who gives her a nervous smile.

"C-Can we play a game of Vanguard?" The boy asks with a small smile as he holds up a deck.

"Of course." Skyrina says sweetly to her little brother as they start a game...

"Soul Saver Dragon attacks." Skyrina says smiling as she dealt the sixth damage.

"Ah man. Hehe, y-your really good sister." Kiryu says, picking up his cards.

"Your getting good too. Every time we Cardfight, your getting better and better." The sister says with a smile on her face as she too picks up her cards.

"Thanks..." Kiryu says with a small smile on his face.

"Oh! Why not go and fight at other shops? That's a good way to get better!" Skyrina says standing up and putting her deck away.

"I-I don't know..." Kiryu says looking away as he held his deck close to his body.

Suddenly Skyrina puts her hands on her brother's back and pushes him to the door. "Oh just go! I'll even come with you." The older sibling says smiling as they left the large house, as they head towards the city card shop...
