Shop Tournament part 1



It was Sunday, no school, so Akaihono was headed to the card shop. Hito was already there as Akaihono had homework to get done so he went ahead and would met the red hair boy there.

Akaihono finally reached the card shop and walks in. "Hm? Oh! Hey Akaihono." A female voice says.

"Huh?" He looks and sees a female wearing the store logo apron. Her hair was black and short. "Who are you?" Akaihono asks.

"I'm Ken's sister, Beth. I was here when you battled Savior." Beth says smiling.

"Oh! I see. Well it's nice to meet you." Akaihono says bowing to the woman, as he straitened up he hears people cheering.

"Alright! Here I come!" A female voice shouts over the crowd of cheering people.

"Huh?" Akaihono looks over and sees a crowd of people watching Hito battling a girl, who looked to be their age. She has purple hair, the hair near her cheeks curve in a way at her cheeks. The hair was in a two sided ponytail and looked really cute.

"Luquier will attack your Vanguard!" She says with a smile as she turns her Vanguard.

"Dang it...no guard...." Growled Hito, his hand drained of cards. Even his field was reduced of grade 2 units.

"Drive check! Twin drive, first, nothing. Second, critical critical trigger!" The girl says happily giving the effects to Luquier, her silver whip hits Hito in Juggernaut Maximum armor.

"Nuts." Hito grunted, his trigger check failing and he hits six damage. "I...Lost.." He mumbles, dumb stuck.

"Yay! That was fun! Your a great Cardfighter, Hito was it?" The girl asks with a smile. She seemed so hyper energetic.

"Yeah that's my name." Hito said smiling. "And you? what's your name?"

"I'm Luna! And I'm gonna be the best Pale Moon user!" Luna says happily, determined and excitedly.

"Well that's a good goal." Said Hito smiling. He suddenly spotted Akaihono. "Hey man."

"Hey." Akaihono says walking up to Hito. "Sorry I'm late, I had a bit more homework then I thought." He says rubbing the back of his head.

"That's fine." Hito says smiling. "So you ready for the tournament yet?"

"I think so. I've play tested it by myself a few times." Akaihono says smiling.

"Oh! Your entering too?" Luna asks smiling as she walks up to Akaihono.

"Yeah we both are." Hito said smiling at her. "I hope to play you again during it if you are."

"Me too! I love playing the game! I love playing for fun!" Luna says happily. "Now, who else wants to battle me?" She asks looking around.

"I will." Said a quiet voice. A boy looking about nineteen appeared. He has thick ice-blue hair that covered one of his cold blue eyes. He wore a thick, long sleeved blue jacket and jeans.

"Hm? Sure!" Luna says happily as Akaihono looks at the teen.

The teen walks over and sat down and slipped his deck out, placing it on the table alongside his starter.

Luna walks over to the table again, puts her starter down as will and shuffled her deck and then sets it down. They both draw five cards, non of them taking a reshuffle.

"I'll take first turn." The boy said coldly. "STAND UP...THE VANGUARD! Captin Knightkid."

"Stand up, Vanguard! Silver Thorn Assassint Lonela!" Luna says excitedly.

"I ride skeleton colossus and I move Nightkid back. " The boy said sounding bored. (7000)

"I draw! I ride Silver Thorn Assassint Irina! Then I move Lonela back behind Irina! I use Irina's skill, when she rides or gets called, and my Vanguard is a Silver Thorn, I look at two cards from my deck. Then I can place a Silver Thorn from among them into my soul." Luna draws two cards and puts a grade 2 into the soul and puts the other card at the bottom of her deck.

"Wow! There are cards that can do that?!" Akaihono says shocked.

"It's something only a few clans have, Pale Moon, Genesis and Dark Irregulars. They all utilize the soul in many ways." Hito explains to his friend.

"I call another Irina and Silver Thorn Breathing Dragon! Irina's skill." Luna draws two cards and soul chargers a Luquier.

"Now my dragon attacks! He gains support from my rear guard Irina and with his skill, if I have a Silver Thorn Vanguard he gains 3000 power!" Luna says turning the cards. (17000)

"Damge check." Yawned the boy, clearly not caring or seeming that interested as he flipped over a draw trigger. "Power to skeleton colossus." (12000)

"My Vanguard attacks with support from Lonela!" Luna says smiling as the boy just let's the attack go through. "Drive check. Stand trigger! All effects to my Breathing Dragon!" She says smiling and stands the juggling dragon.

"Damage check." He says in a bored tone, flipping over another draw trigger. "Power to colussus." (17000)

"Lonela's skill, since the attack her boosted unit hit, I draw two cards and soul charge another Silver Thorn." Luna puts another grade 2 into the soul and puts the other cars on the button of the deck. "I end my turn."

"Wait, she can still attack right? With Breathing Dragon." Akaihono asks, looking at Hito.

"Without support the attack wouldn't have worked on his vanguard." Hito said staring at the field. "Because of the triggers they are too strong."

"I-I see, that makes sense." Akaihono says looking at the field again.

"I ride skeleton demon world knight.(10000) I call smaerai spirit to the back and ruin shade." He attacks with ruin shade. "Her skill. I drop two cards and give it 2000 power." (19000)

"I don't guard." Luna says smiling as she puts the top card of her deck into the damage zone.

"I attack with world knight supported by knightkid." (14000) The boy says.

"No guard again." Luna says awaiting the attack.

"Drive check." The boy pulls a critical trigger. "All effects to world knight."

Luna puts two cards in her damage zone. "Oh! Heal trigger!" Luna says revealing the second card, then recovers damage.

"I end." He said, sounding half-asleep, which Akaihono took notice of.

"I draw." Luna says drawing. "So, what's your name?" She asks smiling as she looks up at the teen.

"Ice." He said simply, looking at his cards in his hands.

"I'm Luna. Nice to meet you." Luna says happily. "I ride Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian!" (10000) "Then I call Silver Thorn Rising Dragon!" She says calling another dragon.

"Is that it?" He asked, looking bored. Akaihono's eyes widen at the comment, it was the same thing Savior said to him.

"Well, I can't use up my hand too much." Luna says, unfazed. "Now attack! Rising Dragon! He gains 3000 power if my Vanguard is a Silver Thorn." She says turning the dragon.

"No guard." Ice said, flipping over a critical trigger. "Power to my Vanguard." (14000)

"I attack with Lillian, with support from Lonela!" Luna says smiling as she pictures herself as the unit and attacks.

"I guard with ghoul cannonball. (10000)" Ice says not interested as he placed the card down.

"Drive check! Draw trigger! Power to Breathing Dragon and I draw." Luna says smiling and then attacks with Breathing Dragon.

"I don't guard." Ice says reaching four damage, but still didn't really seem to care.

"Phew, I end my turn." Luna says smiling as everyone watching was enjoying the fight.

"Not good enough." Ice grunted drawing. "I ride! the emperor of the deepest part of the sea. Ice Prison Necromancer Cocytus." He smiled as thedark creature appeared. "I counterblast 2 and superior call ruin shade and corrupt dragon." He palced the grade 2s on the field.

"I attack with with Cocytus supported by Captain Nightkid. Limit Break, my Vanguard gains 5000 power." (20000) Ice says.

"No guard." Luna says smiling as she awaits the attack and drive checks.

"Drive check." Ice says as he pulls no triggers. Luna puts the third damage card in her damage zone, ready for the next attacks.

"Ruin-shade attacks with a boost from evil shade." Ice said boredly. "Their skiills. I drop four cards and boost the attack by 12000." (21000)

"I don't guard." Luna says, reaching 4 damage, a bigger smile on her face as she was now ready to get serious.

"With a boost from skeleton lookout, my corrupt dragon attacks." (15000) Ice says still looking bored.

"I guard with Barking Dragon!" Luna says using a critical trigger then puts it in the drop zone and Ice simply waves his hand. "I end my turn."

"Yay! It's time for my circus' main attraction!" Luna says drawing a card. "Your silver whip makes even the mightiest of dragons to bow! Appear on stage my Avatar! Silver Thorn Dragon Tamer Luquier!" Luna slams the grade 3 into the Vanguard and a very beautiful woman appears with long black hair.

The boy simply yawns. "I'm not impressed." He says putting his face in his free hand.

"He's not very nice..." Akaihono whispers to Hito, but once again, Luna was unfazed.

"No he's not.." Whispered Hito back to his friend.

"I call a Breathing Dragon behind my Rising Dragon. Now, my Breathing Dragon attacks with support from Irina! 3000 added to my dragon!" Luna says, picturing herself as Luquier as she whips her silver whip.

"I attack with Breathing Dragon!" Breathing Dragon shoots balls of fire at Ice's Night Shade rear guard. Which didn't effect him.

"Here I come! Lonela! Support me!" Luna says as she pictures herself as Luquier and swings her silver thorn whip at Ice.

"I nulify the attack with ghost jin." Ice says, sounding bored and drops a card into the drop zone.

"Twin drive! First, nothing. Second, there it is! Critical trigger! All effects to Rising Dragon!" Luna says smiling. "Go!" Rising Dragon gains 3000 more power. (24000)

"I guard with rick the ghostie and ghoul cannonball." (30000) Ice says sighing.

"Wow! That was impressive. I didn't get a single damage through." Luna says rubbing the back of her head. "I end my turn." She says smiling.

"Of course you didn't. You're weak." Ice says coldly, drawing a card. "Death in the icy waters, I ride again! Ice prison coytus." He smiles. "With his skills I call ruin shade from the dropzone and use it to attack supported by evil shade!" (19000)

Akaihono, along with a few other people, if not everyone, were shocked by what he said.

"We'll see!" Luna smiles. "I intercept with Rising Dragon and guard with Irina!" Luna says smiling.

"Extinguish this girls love for laughter! Necro storm force!" He yelled as Cocytus attacked with a boost from nightkid. Limit Break!" (20000) Ice yells, attacking.

"Perfect guard! Silver thorn Hypnos, Lydia!" Luna discards a card.

"Twin drive check." Said Ice smiling. His eyes began to glow. "Jimmy the ghostie and rough seas-banshee. Double critical! All power to corrupt dragon!"

Everyone gasps at the double critical, except Luna. "Oh wow." Luna says impressed and keeps smiling.

"That's insane." Hito whispers, not believing he got a double critical trigger.

"Finish this girl Corrupt dragon! Soul tearing scream!" Yelled Ice boosting the attack with evil shade. "Evil shade's skill. I drop two cards and boost this double critical attack by 10000!" (28000)

"I don't guard." Luna says taking two damage, reaching 6 damage. "That was a lot of fun!" Luna says holding out her hand to shake Ice's hand.

Ice just stares at her. "That was so boring." He said ignoring her hand and turning his back on her. "Is there anyone in this rabble to give me a challenge." His cold eye rake over the audience, settiling on Akaihono.

Akaihono sees his cold eye staring at him. He gulps. Most of the people just whisper and walk off, not wanting to battle such a person.

"Leave off pal!" Hito says stepping in front of Akaihono. "I beat you! Let's go!"

"I guess we'll see in the tournament." Ice said, moving over to a table and putting his feet up on it to wait.

"Hey! You asked for a challenge! Get back here!" Hito yells but Akaihono holds him back.

Whilst Ice is sitting there, he pulls out his phone and texts to a certain number.

"Akaihono is the one? He seems far too weak. You sure?"

"He is, besides, you didn't battle him. So how would you know?" The text messages back.

"Luna, you okay?" Akaihono asks her, worried she'd be sad by Ice ignoring her.

"Yeah. Even if he didn't have fun I did! Whoever I battle I have fun no matter what." Luna says happily as she stands up and picks up her cards.

Ice frowns looking at Akaihono. "Savior must be mistaken. I snese no power from him." He texts.

"Oh? Maybe not yet, but his connection to his deck is stronger then anyone. You'll see it when he rides his Avatar, the power to be a Hero." The text says.

"Yeah he seemed like an absolute jerk." Hito said, glaring over at Ice.

"We should get ready. The tournament starts in an hour." Luna says smiling.

"Really?! Wow, that seems like nothing." Akaihono says nervously, almost feeling sick from nervousness.

"Understood. I will continue to moniter." Texted Ice as he puts his phone down and sighs.

"I hope your ready." Hito teased as he smiles at his friend.

"M-Me too..." Akaihono says nervously still as he's also sweating a bit, he could feel his heart pounding.

Hito chuckled, putting his arm around Akaihono. "C'mon, you'll do great." He said looking up at the clock.

"I hope so." Akaihono says nervously rubbing the back of his head.

Hito chuckled and looked around. "It must be nearly time. It looks like a lot of people have joined the game." He said excitably.

"Yeah." Akaihono says looking around as Ken walks in with a bunch of packs.

"Hey Hito, Akaihono." Ken says smiling as he walked over to the boys.

"Hey there Ken. What're the packs for?" Hito asked curiously.

"They hold Promo cards. I'm giving out one to each of the 16 participants." Ken says smiling.

"Hey that's awsome!" Hito said bouncing in place. "Are we ready to go?" He asked.

"Soon." Ken says smiling as more people walk in. "In an hour of course. So take this time to check your decks."

Everyone nods as they do so, making sure their decks are ready and set for the tournament.

Soon, it was time as Ken walks up to a tournament roster with the 16 names hidden. "Hello everyone! Thank you all for coming!" Ken says happily.

"I can't wait." Hito whispered. "I can show that Ice jerk who's boss." Akaihono looks at Hito then at Ice.

"He's so gonna pay for being a jerk to Luna." Hito snarled softly. "I'm all about bieng competative but he want to far."

"Just remember to have fun." Luna says smiling happily as Beth walks up to Ken.

"We have a special surprise too. Well, two actually. The first is all of you taking part in this will get a pack that has three Promo cards." Beth says smiling.

"I wonder if we'll get any spike-brothers in the packs." Hito mumbled.

Beth walks up to each of the 16 participants. "Go ahead and open them when your ready." She says smiling.

Akaihono opens his pack and pulls out three cards. One being Kagero, the other being an Oracle Think Tank and the last being a Gold Paladin. "Awaking Liberator Freed?" He says looking at the gold armor warrior.

"The grateful Catapult?" Asked Hito smiling. "This is awsome! A new Spike Brother!"

After everyone opened their packs Ken smiles. "Alright everyone. I'll now reveal who will battle who." He says smiling as he turns to the roster.

Hito chuckles fist bumps Akaihono. "Good Luck Akaihono." Hito said smiling softly.

"R-Right." Akaihono says smiling as he looks at Freed.

"Alright. Here we go!" Ken says as he reveals the names of the 16 participants. Akaihono saw he was in block A. He sees Hito was in block B, Ice in block C and Luna in block D.

Hito sighed. "Looks like I won't get the chance to face that jerk soon." He said bitterly.

"Alright! You all have ten minutes to add the promos to your decks or tweak with your decks." Ken says smiling.

Hito slips the card in taking out another grade three and smiling at Akaihono. "Be ready friend." He said with a smile.

"I will." Akaihono says smiling as he looks through his deck too and adds the grade 3.

After a few minutes Ice is seen on his phone in the corner again, glaring at Akaihono, mumbling about something.

"He gives me the creeps." Hito said annoyed and glares.

Akaihono looks over at Ice and sees him glaring. This makes him look away. Ice looks away to continue his conversation until the time comes for the games to begin.

All 16 participants were soon seated and ready to go. "If everyone is ready, you may begin!" Ken says.

"Stand up, my Vanguard!" Akaihono says turning over his starter.
