Ride 13

The elimination round comes to an end.



Hito walks onto the field, looking at his opponent that was several meters away. His deck was already shuffled, he has his starting hand. But all he could think about was Akaihono's last fight.

His opponent was dressed in the same fashion asjiro, with a labcoat, tie and suit. He looked wary of Hito as he shuffled his own deck and placed his starting card on the sensor table.

The man was wondering if Hito was just as aggressive as Akaihono, either way, he would need to be careful.

"If both fighters are ready you may begin!" The Referee says, looking at the two.

The man kept his stock face as he turned over his card. "Stand up vanguard! Diety sealing kid suko!"

The narukami appeared holding a red ball like skull above his head.

"Stand up! Ancient Dragon Babyrex!" Hito says as a baby t-Rex appears on the field. Which the field creates a hologram of a rocky area.

the man smirked, deciding to take the first turn. "I ride red river dragoon!" A blonde furred man with a sear appeared (8000). "So-Koh moves back to the left."

Hito was worried, this was a Narukami deck, the retire deck. He would need to be careful and save his units for the late game. "I draw, then I right Ancient Dragon Triplazma! Babyrex moves behind my Vanguard and I attack!"

The attack struck hard. The card flipped over to the damage area. "Draw trigger. I draw one card."

Hito's drive check didn't reveal anything, trigger wise, so he added the card to his hand.

The man grinned as he took his next card for his turn. "I ride thunderstorm dragoon!" the man was now riding a dragon

"I call djinn of the lightning flare and deathscythe to the reaguard!" a blue genie on a carpet appeared with a dragon carrying a scythe appeared on the front rearguards

Hito realized so far this deck didn't seem that bad, but he still needed to keep his guard up.

"Djinn attacks your vanguard! With its ability, it gians a 2000 boost when striking a vanguard, plus the boost from so-koh gives him 16000!" The djinn conjured two pistols and fred streams of plasma sparking with enrgy at Hito's vanguard.

"No guard." Hito says as the blast collided, forming a cloud of smoke, crackling with energy. The first damage to Hito is revealed, which is just a grade 1 unit.

The man smirked. "Now my vanguard attacks!" Thunderstorm dragoon charged his twin blades coming down at the dinosaur.

"I won't guard." Hito says, preparing for the attack.

"Check.." He said calmly. "No trigger!" The twin swords collided making more sparks and thunder appeared.

The damage brought Hito to his second damage. "I stand and draw!" The boy calls out as he stands his units and draws. "I ride Ancient Dragon Criollofall and call Ancient Dragon Beamankylo. Then my rear guard attacks! As king as my Vanguard is an Ancient Dragon, 3000 power is added!"

The attack collided and there's an explosion. "Damage check...no trigger." He groaned.

"Now Criollofall is coming at you!" Hito yells, suddenly thinking back to random moments with Akaihiono. 'Bro...even though your shy and timid at times, your such a nice person...so why? Why?!' He thinks in his head, remembering how fierce Akaihono was.

"I guard the attack with warm toxin eradicator!" The man shoued. the heal trigger boosts up thunderstorm to 20000

"Drive check!" Hito says grabbing the top card of his deck. 'I don't understand! Your not that type of person! It's that Jiro guy, if he hadn't shown up this wouldn't have happened!' He reveals the card and it's a critical trigger. "All effects to Criollofall!"

The dinosuar roars, reaching to 20000 power as it rushes and slams past the guard and hits the Vanguard hard. The two damage revealed nothing, leaving his opponent at three damage.

"My turn is over." Hito says, clinching his left fist.

The man drew his card. "Power is in the finisher...I ride breakthrough dragon!" A dragon with four horns appeared, thunder and lightning sparking off everywhere. Hito watches the dragon appear from the thunder storm, it roars loudly.

The man smirked. "I call behind my vanguard: exorcist dragon indigo and attack with djinn boosted by so-ko!" (16000)

"I guard with Ancient Dragon Dinodile!" Hito says as a croc like creature appears, using a 10000 shield.

The lighting blast collided and dissipated. "My next attack is my vanguard boosted by exorcism dragon! Exorcism dragon gets a 3000 boost when it boosts! combined with breakthrough dragons ability, his power level rises to 21000!!"

Hito knew he could stop this, but he couldn't afford to lose his units. "I don't guard." He says, allowing the attack to hit.

"Twin drive check!" The man shouted. his first check revealed a grade three. then his second check... "Critical trigger!" He shouted with glee the card glowing in his hand. "The power to deathscythe and the criticl to my vanguard!" The dragon roared, a blast of white lightning hitting Hito's vanguard.

Hito was up to four, but the damage was a draw trigger. "Power to my Vanguard and I draw." Hito says drawing a card, now holding eight cards in hand.

Savior watched as the opponent's deathscythe with a power of 15000 flew at the criolofall with the same power. "Hito's come a long way....though he isn't using Spike Brothers. Even when I first met him, I actually never saw him use that deck, so, does this means he switched to become better?"

"I guard with Triplasma!" Hito says as the triceratops appears and shots three plasma bolts at the dragon, stopping the attack.

Savior sighed, watching the attack collide and the opponent end his turn and looks at the waiting room from the stadium and sees Akaihono looking at his new deck. "The power Akaihono has...it's eclipsed Ice's...But it isn't Akaihono's strength...."

"I stand and draw, then I ride Ancient Dragon Spinodrive!" A spinosurars appears and let's out a shreking roar. "I call another Beamankylo and Ancient Dragon Flame Maiden!" Another Beamankylo appears with a female appearing behind it, it was also a critical trigger unit.

"My rearguard Beamankylo without support will attack first! Get that Deathscythe out of here!" Hito yells as his unit fires off four beam cannons. The man grimaced but let it happen as his dragon was blasted to bits.

"Spinodrive will attack with Babyrex's support! And because I have more rearguards he gains 3000 more power! Bringing him up to 18000!" Hito explains as Spinodrive fires off several boomerangs.

The man grimaced. "I suppose I can let that through..."

Hito smiles, if he manages to pull a critical, he can win. "Twin drive! First, nothing. Second...heal trigger." Hito wasn't too upset, he was able to at least heal. "Power to my standing Beamankylo and I'll recover one damage."

The boy recovers one damage as his rearguard gains 5000 power as the boomerangs hit the dragon.

The damage check revealed nothing leaving Hito's opponent at five damage. "My rearguard Beamankylo attacks!" Beamankylo fires off four beams. (24000)

"Gould nullifies the attack!" The man yelped, throwing down the perfect guard, dropping his cards, leaving him at two cards in his hand.

"I end my turn." Hito says, still being watched by Savior.

Savior grinned, putting his hand on his chin to watch the match. "Hmm...wonder what would happen if I played him now.."

Hito's opponent drew his third card. "I call dragonic berserker garuder and demolition dragon. garuder attacks your vanguard supported by demolition dragon!" (15000)

"Beamankylo will intercept!" Hito uses the one that didn't have support to take the attack.

Garuder's twin balsts of lightning were deflected. "Next my vanguard!" The power shot to 21000.

"I don't guard." Hito says, knowing he needed to save his units for the next turn.

The thunder blast caught him. "Twin drive...first...nothing." The man grimaced. "Second check...draw trigger! The power to djinn!"

Hito reaches to his forth damage, with no trigger. "Next djinn attacks with bost from so-koh!" The power boost te djinns power, twin bursts of energy spraying out of the guns (19000).

"I guard with Flame Maiden!" Hito says as the maiden appears and uses flames to counter.

The lightning and flames collided. "Turn ends." The man grumbled annoyed as Hito's opponent grimaced, knowing his chance to win had slipped away


"This match is going great so far!" The mc yells I'm excitment. "Don't you all agree?!" The audience all cheer loudly.

All except Ice, who was in an empty room, punching a wall as he couldn't believe the image that Akaihono showed off in how match.

"Where on earth did this come from!?" Ice growled, kicking over the table with his cards on them sattering the cards. "First he's a weakling, that couldn't hold a candle to me, then his power level jumps out of nowhere! And beats Jiro with no trouble! True that guy is weak, but to Akaihono..gahh!!!"

"I draw." Hito says, and grabs a card from his hand and holds it up. "The true king of the ancient past. His roar is more terrifying now in modern time then in the past! I ride my Avatar! Ancient Dragon Tyrannolegend!!" Hito yells as he slams the card onto Spinodrive.

"Break ride! For the break ride to work I must retire two rearguards." Hito says sending Babyrex and Beamankylo to the drop zone. "And 10000 power and plus one critical! Then I get to draw two cards. Then thanks to Babyrex being sent to the drop zone, I counterblast and call another Tyrannolegend, and from my hand I call Beamankylo, Ancient Dragon Iguanogorg and Ancient Dragon Orntithhealer!"

The man yelped at the large tyranno, staring at the sun shining over the twin turrets on the mecha tyranno's shoulders. The man sweatdropped, staring at the assembled army of units.

'Akaihono...' Hito glances behind himself, looking at his friend who was still looking at his deck. 'I'll find a way to get you back to normal...' With that Hito has the rearguard Tyrannolegend attack the Vanguard.

The man grimaces, letting it go through "No trigger." He mumbles at the fith damage

"My warm toxin eradicator guards!" The man shouted the heal trigger shooting his vanguard up to 20000

"Beamankylo attacks!" Hito says as the creature fours four beams again, powering up to 17000.

"My warm toxin eradicator guards!" The man shouted the heal trigger shooting his vanguard up to 20000.

"My Vanguard attacks! With his ability, I retire three units giving my vanguard 10000 more power and another critical!" Hito retires Tyrannolegend, Flame Maiden and Orntithhealer." He says as the dinosuar roars loudly, taking out the three units. Then it fires at the Narukami vanguard.

"I-I-I-I-I Don't guard!" The man squeaked in fear.

Hito does a twin drive, getting another critical trigger on the first check, and a grade 3 unit.

The attacks collided, causing massive explosions. "damage check..." The man coughed at the smoke, checking his top card. "Nothing...final check." Ghe man drew...revealing a grade 3. "NO!" The man groaned.

"And the winner is Hito! And the winning team of this blocks elimination match is Team Rising Knights!" The mc yells, the crowd claps.

Savior smiled at the boy. "Not bad Hito." He grinned as he pushed off the wall and wlaked off. "Not bad at all."

Hito walks over to Luna and Akaihono. "You did awesome!" Luna says clapping her hands together, a smile on her face.

Hito smiled, pumping a fist into the air "Yeah, I did great didn't I!" He said, looking over at Akaihono.

"You sure did! And once we win our way into the actual tournament," Akaihono's eyes glow. "We can take down Savior and Ice, once and for all." The boy smirks and chuckles.

Hito gave a nervous smile. "Er..yeah sure buddy..one thing at a time though yeah."

"I know, we need to get to the finals first. Now let's continue this round robin match and get no losses." Akaihono says smiling.

As the tournament continues, all three battled it out, surprisingly Akaihono wasn't battling as aggressively. It was like he was having fun, but was still playing way better as he wasn't getting nervous or anything.

Hito kept an eye on him, throughout the playoffs, watching for any sign of the power. He was pleased that Akaihono seemed to be having fun but Hito still wasn't sure about the boys current state.

"I break ride Dragonic Overlord onto Dragonic Overlord! Break ride skill! And I'll attack your rearguard!" Akaihono says as he attacks with his vanguard, which attacked a rearguard from the Nubitama clan.

The ninja bear fell with a flash of fire. the man yelped covering his head from the sparks.

"Twin drive, critical trigger to overlord and power to my rearguard, second check, nothing. I discard two cards and stand Dragonic Overlord and attack with support!" The boy says as the dragon roars and shoots off a blast of fire at the vanguard, creating a massive expulsion as the man yelped, twin cards floating to his sixth damage.

"And the winner is Akaihono! Team Riding Knights win again! This underdog team has come from nowhere and has taken a full winning streak!" The MC says in surprise.

Akaihono boss to his opponent and walks back over to his friends. "We did it guys!" Akaihiono says happily.

Hito smiled, holding out his fist. "You're doin great buddy." He said happily.

Akaihono puts his fist against Hito's fist too. "Now that our spot in secured, we can fight Ice and Savior." Akaihono says confidently.

Hito smiled nervously. "Um..bro don't you think your getting a bit obsessed? I mean, I wanna kick ice's butt same as the next person but still..."

"Hito, he was rude to all of us in some way or another, I'll make him pay, I'll find him before the finals and defeat him." Akaihono says smiling, his eyes glowing once again.

Hito took a step back "what is the matter with you bro?" He asked worriedly and even Luna was worried about Akaihono.

"Nothing is wrong with with me Hito, why would you ask me that?" Akaihono asks, clenching his hands together.

Hito took a step back, worried still about his friend. "A-Akaihono..."

Akaihono's eyes glow again with flames and stares at Hito. "Fine, you can say whatever you want, but the truth is I've become stronger, I'll defeat Ice, I'll defeat Savior, and prove to everyone my power!" Akaihono yells as he turns around and walks off.

Hito shivered in fear and sadness. "What happened to the bro I used to know?" He wondered out loud.

Luna puts a hand on Hito's shoulder. "Maybe we need to give him some time to himself. I'm sure he'll come around when we reach finals." The purple hair girl says, though she hopes her words are right.

Hito gave her a half-depairing smile. "Yeah...I hope so..."

Soon all the teams are out on the field, with the mc on the stage. "We have all the teams that will be in next weeks finales! We hope you all get rest and get ready for the finals." He says. "Which we will use Vision!"

Luna noticed Helena, Kiryu, and several other strong teams are gonna be in the finals, it was gonna be intense.

Hito was keeping an eye on the teams too. "This is gonna be a touch climb to the top." He grumbled.

"Yeah, so we better train and work on our decks. And hopefully Akaihono will be back to normal." Luna says, still worried about the boy.

Meanwhile, Akaihono was walking, his eyes glowing fiercely. "I'll take them both down, no one can stop me, no one." The boy says smirking.
